🎄 CHRISTMAS CARNIVALS · LINDA VISTA, CA

Christmas carnivals in Linda Vista.

A Christmas carnival is a carnival designed end to end for December: red-and-white and green-and-white striped booths under warm string lights, candy-cane signs and skins on the games, a balloon arch with candy canes, peppermint and gingerbread, the seven concessions, and a Santa and Mrs. Claus photo station. The carnival is the gathering itself. My Little Carnival builds christmas carnivals in Linda Vista for community centers, churches, schools and neighborhood groups, scaled to the lot, lawn or yard the host has.

Linda Vista has four named places a host can start with: Linda Vista Recreation Center, Linda Vista Community Park, Bayside Community Center and Tecolote Canyon Natural Park. The first three can take a carnival layout, each in its own way. Tecolote Canyon Natural Park is a natural park, a place for trails and views, so a booth row belongs elsewhere. Schools in San Diego Unified School District add campus yards.

My Little Carnival produces Christmas carnivals across San Diego County, and a layout is drawn only after the site is known.

WHAT THEY USUALLY LOOK LIKE

A Christmas carnival in Linda Vista.

Guests enter beneath the balloon arch, red and white, with candy canes, peppermint and gingerbread around it. The striped booths come next, green-and-white alternating with red-and-white, in a long row on a park lawn or a tight loop in a community center lot. Warm string lights run overhead and each game carries a candy-cane skin, a sign and a shelf of prizes.

The concession booths hold caramel apples, snow cones, churros, popcorn, pretzels, nachos and cotton candy. Santa and Mrs. Claus occupy the station at the end of the loop. The walk-in snow globe inflatable gives families a photo prop to step into, with nothing falling inside, and snow-flocked trim can dress the props. A community center can open the carnival after a morning program, and a school can run it on a Friday as the break begins.
